3 Barcelona stars ‘crossed off’ club’s for sale list
A trio of players previously considered as being up for sale at La Liga giants Barcelona have seen their respective statuses for next season heavily altered.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who have this weekend provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital.
It is of course common knowledge that the brass at Barcelona have long been taking into consideration the departure of at least one headline player this summer.
As much comes with a view to both easing their long-standing financial woes, and contributing towards reinforcements to new boss Hansi Flick’s squad.
Taking into account such goals, it has in turn been revealed that Barca were ready to entertain summer offers for four players in particular.
The quartet in question? Frenkie de Jong, Ronald Araújo, Ansu Fati, and Raphinha.
As per a report from Sport, however, only the latter is currently considered as being in line for a potential exit:
‘De Jong, Araújo and Ansu, who were expected to be sold, have dropped one after another, which has forced them to be crossed off the list of possible sales that Barça was counting on.’
The reason? The respective injuries suffered by the trio of stars.
Raphinha, on the other hand, remains available for the right price, albeit with the Brazilian having no intention of seeking out a transfer as things stand.
