Alejandro Balde discusses what’s changed at Barcelona under Hansi Flick
Alejandro Balde has been talking about life at Barcelona under new manager Hansi Flick after a great start to the season.
The left-back has returned from injury and played in all four of Barca’s La Liga matches, with Flick starting the season with four wins on the bounce.
Balde has offered a little bit of insight into life under the new boss.
“It is still too early to know what has changed. Maybe Hansi Flick has a more direct, more vertical style of football,” he told RAC1.
“There is a person who translates the talks because he speaks in English, but then on the pitch it is easier to understand everything.
“We are working very well physically. It is very important to be putting pressure on for the entire 90 minutes of the match and for the moment we are doing very well.”
Balde also spoke about the atmosphere in the dressing room but called for calm despite a fantastic start to the new campaign.
“In the dressing room we are very excited. I think we have a very good project with very young players and a lot of talent, but we have to go slowly,” he added.
“It is true that we have had a good start, but we are still in September. The season is very long, we have to be calm because this is very long.”
La Liga will now pause due to the international break, with Balde set to get some rest as he’s not been called up into the latest Spain squad.
