Alejandro Balde, Eric Garcia to be fit for Barcelona’s UCL clash with Brest
Barcelona defender Alejandro Balde is set to return to action for the club against Brest in the Champions League.
Balde missed the draw with Celta at the weekend due to a knock but has been in training on Monday and is expected to be passed fit for the match.
The news will be a boost to Hansi Flick who is short on back-up options. Gerard Martin struggled at Balaidos after coming in for Balde and was hooked at half-time.
Hector Fort did take over from Balde and is another option for the German as he aims to get his team back to winning ways.
Eric Garcia is also set to be passed fit for the match. The defender hasn’t featured since the win over Alaves but could be an option to freshen up Flick’s starting XI.
Ferran Torres is also close to a return but may have to wait for the weekend’s game with Las Palmas. while Lamine Yamal remains absent due to an ankle problem.
