Alejandro Balde reveals what Hansi Flick has told his Barcelona players
Alejandro Balde is back from injury and enjoying life in the first team at Barcelona under new manager Hansi Flick.
The left-back has started both of Barcelona’s La Liga games under the German and has been talking about what the coach has asked from his players.
“Hansi asks us to play our game. We are playing a more vertical style of football and that is evident in the chances we create,” he told the media.
“The most important thing is that we won and took the three points. We are very happy and we have come back strong after the penalty equaliser.”
Balde also spoke about his fitness, having returned from a lengthy spell out, and says he’s feeling good.
“I’m fine now from my injury,” he added.
“It’s been a very long recovery process but I started training with the team a month and a half ago and I’m very calm.”
Young Gerard Martin looks like being Balde’s back up this season. The 22-year-old has made two substitute appearances this season and appears to have leapt above Alex Valle in the pecking order.
