Andres Iniesta chooses the three Barcelona players he’d sign as a coach
Andres Iniesta is thinking about a future coaching role after announcing his retirement from football and could end up back at Barcelona at some point in the future.
Ahead of that, Iniesta has been talking to the media and been asked a host of questions, including which players three players from Barcelona he’d sign as a coach.
Hansi Flick currently has a host of talented players in his squad, and Iniesta has made some – perhaps – surprising choices.
The legend opted for goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen, midfielder Pedri and Ansu Fati.
Iniesta played with Ter Stegen at Barcelona and the injured stopper sent a touching message after he announced his retirement.
It’s little surprise to see Iniesta go for Pedri. The Spain midfielder has already made it clear that Iniesta was his idol and has regularly been dubbed the ‘new Iniesta.’
Ansu will also surely love to be on the list. The forward is still trying to find his best form after a tough few years but there’s hope this season he can go on and make an impact under Hansi Flick.
