Atlético de Madrid out of Dani Olmo race, Barcelona and Bayern still in – report
Atlético de Madrid are all but out of the race to sign Dani Olmo, who shone with the Spanish national team at the UEFA European Championship.
Meanwhile, FC Barcelona and FC Bayern Munich are in the race for the RB Leipzig star, as per The Daily Briefing.
However, despite strong interest from both clubs, neither one can be considered a strong favorite to land Olmo, as they both have other priorities.
It’s hardly a secret that Barcelona are focused on Nico Williams, while the Bavarians have their sights on Xavi Simons. Perhaps both situations have to be wrapped up before either club makes a final move for Olmo.
The Daily Briefing report also said Olmo is not on Manchester City’s shopping list, despite other rumors placing him as Kevin De Bruyne’s replacement under Pep Guardiola. It’s understood Olmo is keen on a move away from Leipzig, although his preferred destination is not known.
