Barcelona and Juventus ‘optimistic’ about agreeing Federico Chiesa transfer
Federico Chiesa continues to be linked with a move to Barcelona, with the latest updates claiming there is “optimism” that a deal can be done with Juventus.
Sky Sport Italia report “all parties are confident” that Chiesa will swap clubs and play for the Catalan giants this season.
Chiesa is not in new manager Thiago Motta’s plans for the new campaign and the Italy international is said to be keen to play for Hansi Flick at Barcelona.
Of course, Barcelona still have work to do to complete the deal. The club’s top priority right now is to get new signing Dani Olmo registered.
Barcelona hope to be able to do so once Mikayil Faye’s departure to Rennes has been completed and will then turn their attentions to Chiesa.
The Catalans are also working on other exits, notably trying to send Clement Lenglet to Atletico Madrid on a season-long loan.
