Barcelona, Bournemouth in “advanced talks” for Julian Araujo transfer – reports
Barcelona are in the advanced stages of negotiations to sell right-back Julian Araujo to Premier League side AFC Bournemouth, according to reports from Diario SPORT and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
Bournemouth are in advanced talks to sign Julián Araujo from Barcelona on permanent transfer.

The reports say the two clubs are negotiating a deal worth €10 million, but Barça are still looking to include a sell-on clause to earn a percentage of a future sale. That appears to be the last hurdle in the negotiations, and the deal could become official very soon.
Romano adds that Barça’s sale of Araujo could help fund a move for Manchester City’s João Cancelo, who according to reports this week requested Barça to make an effort to re-sign the Portugal international for a second season.
City have made it clear they’ll only accept a permanent deal to let go of Cancelo, and the Araujo sale might unlock Barça’s ability to sign their favorite right-back target this summer.
Araujo never made a competitive appearance for Barça since joining from LA Galaxy in January of last year, and despite his hope for a chance in the first team this season it appears as though the Mexican will be headed to England instead.
