Barcelona coach has full faith in injury-prone €25 million-rated forward – Romano
The story of Ansu Fati this summer has been a rather unfortunate one so far.
The forward returned to the Barcelona camp hoping to make an impression under new coach Hansi Flick. He even made a strong early impression through his performances in training.
But the Spaniard’s progression was halted by an unfortunate injury. As a result, he missed the pre-season tour to the United States and has once again fallen behind in the pecking order.
Hansi Flick has full faith in Fati
However, despite his struggles with injuries, coach Hansi Flick trusts Fati to recover and get back to being an asset for Barcelona.
This is according to Fabrizio Romano, which suggests the German considers Fati as a pivotal part of the Barça project.
It must be noted that Flick has been able to rejuvenate many Barcelona players in his early days as coach, with Raphinha and Inigo Martinez, in particular, enjoying a solid run so far.
There is no reason why Fati, too, emerges as a beneficiary of Flick’s methods and becomes an integral part of the Barcelona frontline.
The road ahead
Barcelona fans were given a boost this week as Fati has finally returned to group training and may soon return to the pitch.
For now, Fati’s main goal will be to return to full fitness. There is much hope he can participate in the upcoming La Liga matches and even play a key role in the team’s attacking unit.
Fati, after all, can be an excellent alternative for Flick’s preferred wide-attacking duo of Lamine Yamal and Raphinha.
It will be interesting to see if Fati makes the Barcelona squad for their upcoming game against Girona this weekend.
