Barcelona come up with low-cost alternative to Nico Williams
Nico Williams is said to be Barcelona’s top attacking transfer target this summer but doubts remain over whether a move will actually happen due to his €55 million release clause.
As such, a host of other alternatives have already been mentioned including Luis Diaz, Dani Olmo and even Hull City’s Jaden Philogene.
We can now add another name to the list, according to Diario Sport, who report that Barcelona are also keen on Dortmund’s Jamie Bynoe-Gittens.
The teenage winger joined the club from Manchester City in 2020 and has gone on to make 44 first-team appearances for the club.
BYNOE-GITTENS…
By the time the 2024/25 domestic season is underway, Jamie Bynoe-Gittens will no longer be a teenager. His undoubted talent needs to be on show on a regular basis moving forward.

He’s not a regular starter yet, and is out of contract next summer, which means Barca think he could be a good ‘Plan B’ if Williams does not come.
Bynoe-Gittens has already been tipped for the very top by former Dortmund team-mate Jude Bellingham. He picked the teenager and Arda Guler when asked for his thoughts on who would win the next Golden Boy award back in December.
