Barcelona confirm Fermin Lopez out for three weeks with hamstring injury
Barcelona have confirmed that Fermin Lopez will miss the next three weeks after sustaining a hamstring injury on international duty with Spain.
Lopez was called up to the Under-21 squad but has already returned to Barcelona after picking up a problem in training. Pablo Torre has replaced Lopez in the Under-21 squad.
Barcelona have now offered an update on social media: “Tests carried out on Wednesday on the first team player Fermín López showed that he has an injury to his left hamstring. He will be out for approximately three weeks.”

The news means that Lopez is set to miss Barcelona’s next two La Liga games at Girona and Villarreal and their Champions League opener at Monaco.
Lopez’s absence will be another blow for Hansi Flick who is already without a host of players due to injury. However, it is hoped that Frenkie de Jong and Ansu Fati may both be available after the international break.
