Barcelona hit by major Andreas Christensen injury setback
Barcelona have been hit by a major injury setback as Andreas Christensen has been ruled out of action for two months.
Christensen missed training on Friday due to discomfort and it’s now been reported he is set for a lengthy spell out.
Relevo are reporting that Christensen will miss the next two months. There’s no detail on the injury but it’s thought to be related to his continuing Achilles problems.
Hansi Flick spoke about Christensen during his press conference today and had the following to say
“As he is now, he cannot help the team. Last year he played a few games with problems and we have to look after him,” he told reporters.
“He is a very good defender and it is important for the club to have him at 100%. He cannot help us at only 80%.”
Christensen now joins Ronald Araujo, Ansu Fati, Gavi and Frenkie de Jong on the injury list at Barcelona and is another problem for the club.
