Barcelona in touch with Fermín López about contract extension
FC Barcelona is working with Fermín López’s agent in order to extend his current deal, after a breakthrough season that culminated in leading Spain to Olympic Gold glory.
While a new deal is not considered to be imminent, it’s understood that things are progressing well, with both parties hoping to continue the partnership.

The Catalans are hoping to keep Fermín “under control” as a lot of big clubs have started to become interested in potentially signing him.
Born in Andalusia, the midfielder made his way to Barcelona’s famed La Masia academy and ended up debuting with Barcelona B. After a successful loan spell at Linares Deportivo, Fermín established himself as a core part of Barcelona’s first team rotation last season.
