Barcelona midfielder Marc Casado apologises for red card against Celta
Barcelona midfielder Marc Casado has apologised for his red card during Saturday’s 2-2 draw against Celta Vigo.
The youngster picked up a second yellow card late on as Barca threw away a 2-0 lead to drop points at Balaidos.
Casado has now said sorry to his team-mates and supporters in a post on Instagram.
“First of all, apologies to both the team and the fans, these are decisions that are made in thousandths of a second and it is clear that the decision has not been correct. We will continue working for everyone who remains. Visit Barça,” he posted.
Hansi Flick refused to blame Casado or Jules Kounde for Barcelona’s loss and insisted the whole team had put in a bad performance against Celta.
Yet Casado will now have to serve a suspension for his red card, although it will also give the youngster a chance to take a break after a hectic start to the season for club and country.
