Barcelona register Dani Olmo ahead of Rayo Vallecano clash
The wait is finally over: Barcelona have registered new signing Dani Olmo and the Spanish midfielder is cleared to make his debut against Rayo Vallecano on Tuesday, according to multiple reports from Spanish media.
Olmo missed the first two games of the season while awaiting his status to be cleared, and Hansi Flick admitted on Monday that the player was already getting frustrated over the issue.
“I always have hope, I was hoping he’d play in the last game. It would be awesome to have him for [Tuesday]’s match.
“These are things that the player and the team can’t control. We’ve spoken about this situation, we know it’s a difficult thing here at Barcelona. I believe in the club and I hope we can register him for [Tuesday]’s game. Any player who can’t play, obviously, is not happy. But he knows why. I’m certain that if he makes the list he’ll be 100% ready.”

But things are finally clear now, and Dani Olmo is ready to fulfill his dream of playing in the Barcelona first team. It was embarrassing that he even had to wait for his registration to begin with, but that’s the way Barça work these days. Unfortunately.
At least this particular nightmare is over, and Olmo can finally put on his number 20 shirt and play for his childhood club.
