Barcelona revived on 20% sell on clause Juventus chase former star
Barcelona could still pick up a financial boost this month if Jean-Clair Todibo leaves Ligue 1 side Nice.
The French international joined La Blaugrana from Toulouse back in January 2019 as one of the highest rated young central defenders in France.
However, after he struggled with a succession of injuries and managerial changes he never settled at Barcelona, and moved on via a handful of loans.
Despite his frustration in Spain, a return to France has revived his career, with interest Premier League powerhouse Manchester United.
United have been blocked from signing Todibo due to UEFA rules on multi-club ownership with the Red Devils and Nice part-owned by INEOS.
A possible move away from Nice has been revived in recent days with reports from Diario Sport indicating Juventus are considering an offer for the 24-year-old.
If that interest solidifies into a transfer offer, Barcelona’s 20% sell on clause on Todibo will be activated, with the potential for an €8m windfall for the Catalan giants.
