Barcelona see initial Dani Olmo bid rejected by RB Leipzig
Barcelona have reportedly seen an initial bid for Dani Olmo rejected by RB Leipzig.
The latest update on the situation comes from Philipp Hinze of Sky Sport Germany who says that RB Leipzig’s deemed Barca’s offer as unsatisfactory.
“The offer was made a few days ago. However, Leipzig declined it as the offer did not meet their expectations,” he wrote on X.
“The overall package was not satisfactory. Leipzig is basing Olmo’s price on the value of his expired release clause: €60m. During the week, further talks took place between Barca and the player’s side. To be continued…”
Mundo Deportivo are reporting that Barcelona offered an initial €40 million plus another €20m in variables but it looks like RB Leipzig want the full amount up front.
Deco was spotted meeting Olmo’s agents again this week, and it seems the Spain star is a concrete transfer target this summer along with Nico Williams.
