Barcelona set for cash injection as Jean-Clair Todibo close to Juventus move
Barcelona have long hoped for a big sale involving their former defender Jean-Clair Todibo, and that cash injection may finally come thanks to a new development on the Frenchman’s transfer saga.
According to Italian transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, Juventus are very close to a deal with OGC Nice for Todibo and an agreement could come as soon as this weekend on a one-year loan deal with an obligation to buy, with the price set around €35 million according to the report.
Juventus is Todibo’s priority as the defender reportedly rejected an offer from West Ham United in the Premier League, and the player’s preference for a move to the Bianconeri would be key in completing this deal.
Barça famously have a right to 20% of the profit from Todibo’s sale, meaning they’d be getting around €7 million next summer if the deal does go through. The Catalans will obviously take any extra money they can get, it looks like Todibo’s long-awaited move away from Nice will finally happen.
