Barcelona set to sign Pau Victor after impressive season on loan from Girona

Barcelona are hoping to sign Pau Victor permanently after the forward’s impressive season with Rafa Marquez’s reserve side.

Victor joined on a season-long loan in the summer but has gone on to score 17 goals to top the scoring charts as Barca Atletic aim for a play-off spot.

Barcelona will need to shell out €3 million for the 22-year-old but are hopeful of carrying out the transfer, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The move suggests that Barcelona could be willing to give Victor a chance to try and force his way into the first-team in pre-season if he can impress Xavi.

Barcelona could also look to sell him for a higher price, and he may not lack for admirers after his goalscoring exploits with the B team.

Victor has been called up to the first team on several occasions this season but is still waiting to make his debut for the senior side.
