Barcelona striker Vitor Roque turns down Al-Hilal approach
Barcelona striker Vitor Roque has reportedly turned down an approach from Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal.
The Brazilian was wanted by Al-Hilal for the new 2024-25 season, with Barcelona believed to be willing to sanction a sale to raise funds.
However, Fabrizio Romano is reporting that Vitor Roque has rejected the contract on offer by the Saudi side following negotiations.
He posted on X: “Understand Vitor Roque and his camp have turned down Al Hilal initial contract proposal after club-to-club approach. Al Hilal have also requested info on other U21 strikers as potential alternatives… …including Aston Villa’s Jhon Duran who wants to join West Ham.”
Vitor Roque is currently with the Barcelona squad for pre-season and it’s thought he will get a chance to try and impress Hansi Flick during their American tour.
Yet a move away from the club could still be on the cards, with Barca still needing to make sales during the summer window.
