Now, a fresh report from ABC de Sevilla (h/t Diario SPORT) has revealed that Barcelona are all set to bring in Francesc Marti.

Marti has been serving as the performance analyst at Real Betis, under the leadership of coach Manuel Pellegrini.

Marti earlier used to work at Villarreal but joined Real Betis in 2020. His spell at Balompie, however, appears to be coming to an end, as Barcelona have already closed the deal to sign him this summer.

Real Betis wanted to keep hold of Francesc Marti’s services, but the offer from Barcelona was higher than the wages provided by his current club.

As a result, Marti will join the Barça camp in the coming summer and will become a part of Hansi Flick’s technical staff.

Upon arriving in Barcelona, Flick was accompanied by three German assistants in Toni Topalovic, Marcos Sorg and Heiko Westermann.

The addition of Francesc Marti, to that end, could go a long way in adding some expertise and knowledge about Spanish football to Barcelona’s technical staff.

Marti won’t be Barcelona’s last coup either, as the club look to rejig the technical and physical staff in an attempt to usher in a fresh era in Catalonia.
