Barcelona target Guido Rodríguez wanted by Bayer Leverkusen – report

Bayer Leverkusen are interested in Guido Rodríguez, who has been heavily linked with FC Barcelona, according to a report from Argentina.

Rodríguez had come to a verbal agreement with Barcelona, and had even signed a pre-agreement, but the move has yet to materialize. For one, Barcelona still needs to sort out its wage bill before announcing new signings, and for another, Xavi’s sudden departure and Hansi Flick’s arrival has thrown the squad planning for a loop.

He is currently with Argentina as the albiceleste begins tune up matches for Copa América. From there, he will talk with the Catalan club to see if they can finally come to an agreement. On the other hand, the German champions have made their interest known.

Rodríguez is a FIFA World Cup and Copa América champion and has played for Real Betis since 2020.
