Barcelona told Joshua Kimmich is ‘really looking forward’ to joining club
Barcelona have been told that Bayern star Joshua Kimmich is eager to move to the club and link up with Hansi Flick once again.
Bojan’s dad, who used to work in the club’s scouting department, has made the comments in an interview with Cadena SER.
“Joshua Kimmich is really looking forward to coming to Barça,” he said in comments that are unlikely to go down too well in Munich.
Bojan senior also feels the presence of Flick as manager of the team will help when it comes to attracting the best players.
“The coach plays an important role and Barça has all the numbers to sign good players because of the coach they have, who is recognised, like Hansi Flick,” he added.
“Great German and French footballers, when you ask them where they want to play, generally say Barça.
“Real Madrid also comes up, but in general the footballer wants to play for Barça, because of its history, because of the club, because of its greatness.”
Kimmich has been linked with Barcelona on several occasions. He’s currently into the final year of his contract at Bayern and his future remains uncertain.
