Barcelona youngster may make his debut for loan club against Real Madrid

Barcelona forward Vitor Roque is getting closer to securing a loan move to Real Betis and according to a report from Mundo Deportivo, the Brazilian might debut for his new team in a high-profile match against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu.

It is said that Real Betis manager Manuel Pellegrini is eagerly awaiting the arrival of a new striker to finalise his squad and all indications suggest that Roque is that player.

Barcelona and Betis have been discussing a loan deal for the Brazilian, which includes an option for Betis to buy him at the end of the loan period.

Talks between the clubs have been ongoing for several days, and a resolution seems to be on the horizon.

No immediate debut for Roque

Despite the positive developments, Roque will not be available to play in Betis’ upcoming matches immediately, as he is set to miss the match against Alaves on Sunday.

Additionally, he won’t be able to participate in the return leg of the UEFA Conference League play-off against Kryvbas on Thursday as well.

This is because he needed to be registered with the team by Wednesday night, and the paperwork for his loan deal wasn’t completed in time.

If the loan deal is completed as expected, Roque’s first chance to wear the green and white of Real Betis will likely be against Real Madrid on Sunday, 1st September. This match will be held at the Santiago Bernabeu.

It is a significant fixture for Betis, especially since their 3rd round match against Getafe has been postponed due to the scheduling of the Conference League play-off.

All eyes will be on Roque as he steps onto the pitch, potentially making a big impression in his first outing with Real Betis against such a formidable opponent.

This match could be the perfect stage for him to showcase his skills and demonstrate why Betis have been so keen to secure his talents.
