Barcelona’s in-form winger talks about season goals for FC Barcelona

Raphinha has been an undisputed star for Barcelona in these early parts of the campaign.

The Brazilian international has shown exceptional form, notably scoring a hat-trick in Barcelona’s most recent win over Real Valladolid.

Buoyed by a fantastic start to the new season, Raphinha, in a recent interaction, has talked about his initial struggles at Barcelona while laying out the season’s objective for the club.

Raphinha on his early struggles

“The first six months here in Barcelona were difficult for me and my family. I improved after the World Cup. I was calmer, but at the start, it was very difficult for me to adapt to the club,” Raphinha revealed (h/t Diario SPORT).

The Brazilian has indeed endured a rough time since joining Barcelona from Leeds United in 2022. He often failed to provide enough consistency to the table, which led to intense speculation over his long-term future at the club.

In fact, Raphinha was one of the potential sale candidates for Barcelona during the summer transfer window, as the club wanted to free up space in the wage bill.

The forward, though, ended up remaining at Camp Nou, which has proven to be beneficial for both parties involved.

Raphinha on season’s goals

Raphinha went on to talk about Barcelona’s objectives this season after a brilliant start to the new campaign.

“Our minimum goal at Barcelona is to win every title,” said Raphinha, who has already racked up three goals and three assists in the league so far.

Raphinha also talked about his personal goals for this season. Having netted 10 goals last season, the forward was asked whether or not he is planning on extending it this time around.

“Yes, I have a goal. I wrote it on a piece of paper at home. What is it? I won’t say it. At the end of the season I’ll tell you if I achieved it or not,” the forward revealed.
