Claudio Bravo retires

Former FC Barcelona goalie Claudio Bravo has decided to put an end to his professional career. He made the announcement this Tuesday 27 August on his social media.

The Chilean’s long and distinguished career began at Colo-Colo in his home country, from where he joined Real Sociedad. After eight years in San Sebastian, he moved to FC Barcelona, managed at the time by Luis Enrique. After two years of competition for the senior team jersey with Marc-André ter Stegen, in the summer of 2016 he decided to go to Manchester City, and after four years there he moved back to Spain and Real Betis.

In his two years at Barça he played 75 competitive fixtures, and won no fewer than nine major titles, including the league and cup double in both of his two years, as well as the Champions League and the Clubs World Cup.
