Dani Olmo dresses short! Barça’s star signing is already training under Flick’s orders

The FC Barcelona first team returned to training after the two days of rest granted by Hansi Flick. The players recovered after completing the ten-day tour of the United States where they played three friendlies, but this Saturday morning they trained again at the Ciutat Esportiva facilities. The culés’ session was focused on the Joan Gamper Trophy, which will take place next Monday, August 12 against AS Monaco.

Dani Olmo was the big news of the day at Can Barça, since the man from Egara placed himself under the orders of the German coach in his first practice as a culé. The footballer has lived a couple of days full of emotions, since last Friday the official presentation of him as a Barça player took place. The midfielder signed for six seasons, until June 2030, and this August 10 he began his new ‘adventure’ in Sant Joan Despí.

The Spanish international is preparing with the rest of his teammates to live one of his greatest moments in Barcelona. The Catalan, who will wear the number ’20’, will be presented to the Blaugrana fans in Montjuïc, just before Gamper’s match against the Monegasque team, in a match that promises to be an ‘opener’ for Barça that will debut in the League next August 17 against Valencia, with most of the members of the first team at Flick’s disposal.

According to ‘SPORT’, Olmo’s appearance before the culé public is expected to take place after the rest of the squad has been introduced to the club’s followers, an event that will happen around seven in the afternoon. However, it is unknown if the player will have minutes against the Principality team thinking about the Barça team’s league debut or, on the contrary, Hansi will choose to give him opportunities progressively to facilitate his adaptation.

A notable absence

Olmo’s presence was not the only novelty in the Blaugrana training. Vitor Roque was not part of the session after appearing at the Ciutat Esportiva with discomfort and fever, which is why, after being examined by doctors, the player returned to his home, as reported by ‘Mundo Deportivo’. The Brazilian’s future remains undefined, and although his absence from the Blaugrana practice ‘triggered’ the rumours, it has been confirmed that it has nothing to do with his departure from the club.
