FC Barcelona faces the 2024-2025 season with the long-awaited premiere of the new Spotify Camp Nou and the start of a new sports project directed by Hansi Flick. After a blank year and the dismissal of Xavi Hernández, the German coach arrives on the Barça bench with the mission of returning enthusiasm to the culé fans and winning titles.
The new season starts in August with the first official Barcelona match, it will be in the Spanish Football League 24-25 against Valencia (August 17-18). We remember that beforehand the Blaugranas will have faced Manchester City, Real Madrid and AC Milan in the Soccer Champions Tour, pre-season friendly matches in the United States and will have made the usual official presentation of the team in the 2024 Joan Gamper Trophy, whose date and rival is yet to be confirmed.
On September 17-19, FC Barcelona will debut in the new UEFA Champions League, which arrives with a new format that promises to make the tournament more attractive. As for the Copa del Rey, the Barça team will not play until the round of 32 to be played in January 2024. Finally, the Spanish Super Cup, in which Barça, Real Madrid, Athletic and Mallorca will participate, will be played at beginning of January as usual, from the 8th to the 12th of the first month of next year. LaLiga EA Sports 2024-2025
LaLiga has already confirmed the match schedule for the 38 days for the 2024/25 season. The Spanish First Division championship will start on Thursday, August 15 and will run until May 25, 2025. FC Barcelona will have its official debut in the course, and that of the German Hansi Flick on the Barça bench, against Valencia CF, as a visitor the weekend of August 16 to 18. Thus, the Barça team will have to visit Mestalla to try to achieve their first victory of the season. Other relevant premieres, such as that of Real Madrid and Atlético de Madrid, were also defined for the weekend of August 16 to 18 with the whites visiting RCD Mallorca, and the colchoneros facing Villarreal, also as visitors.

When are the Barça-Madrid LaLiga Clásicos 2024/25?
We also know the dates for the two league Clásicos against Real Madrid. The first will arrive on matchday 11, scheduled for October 27, 2024 with Barça having to visit the Santiago Bernabéu to face Carlo Ancelotti and Mbappé. The return leg will be on matchday 35, a very important point in what will be the fight for the title as it will be held on May 11 in Barcelona, presumably at the renovated Spotify Camp Nou.

When are the LaLiga 2024/25 breaks?
This season the League will have five breaks: four of them for FIFA dates and another for the Christmas holidays. Regarding the selections, the following dates have been blocked: September 2-10, October 7-15, November 11-19 and March 17-25. As for Christmas, there will still be no football in the League between December 23 and January 12.

Champions League 2024-2025
The UEFA Champions League, as we know it, came to an end on June 1 after the final between Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid at Wembley. Starting in the 2024/25 season, the tournament will undergo a significant change in its competition format, which has been in effect since the 2003/04 campaign. As key differences, it is important to mention that there will not be 32 teams, but 36. Likewise, the fight to conquer the ‘Orejona’ will no longer take place in a group stage format, but rather the participants will compete in a League format like in their domestic tournaments, where everyone will face each other in a common classification.
It should be noted that each team will play a total of eight games, which will allow them to play the same number of games at home and away (4). The pairings will be determined by a draw, which will present a very interesting novelty: while the names of the teams will be drawn in the traditional way, a sophisticated ‘software’ will determine the eight matches to which they will be subjected. This draw will take place on August 29 in Monaco.
In that sense, another of the changes for the next edition is that the competition will also have an exclusive week (without coinciding with the Europa League or the Conference League) and the duels will also take place on Thursdays, ending that tradition of that the days of this competition were only played on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Having said this, on the last day it was agreed that the 18 games would be played simultaneously, all starting at 9:00 p.m. These are the dates of the matches and draw.

King’s Football Cup and Spanish Super Cup
The first round of the Cup will be played earlier than usual, starting on October 30, 2024. The second round of Her Majesty’s tournament will be played on December 4; the sixteenths, January 5; the eighths, on January 15; the quarters, on February 5; the first leg of the semifinals, on February 26 and the second leg, on April 2. The final of the Copa del Rey 2024-2025 will be played on April 26. For its part, the Spanish Super Cup, in which Barça, Real Madrid, Athletic and Osasuna will participate, will be played from January 8 to 12, 2025. The semifinals will be Athletic-FC Barcelona (January 8) and Real Madrid-Mallorca (January 9th). The Super Cup Final will be played on Sunday, January 12.
