FC Barcelona Closes In On $106 Million Cash Injections Reports RAC1
FC Barcelona is closing in on a cash injection worth a much-needed $42.7 million (€40 million) according to RAC1, which cited anonymous sources and has also reported on a separate deal being finalized with another partner which will bring in a further $64 million (€60 million).
Barca badly needs to balance the books with the end of the financial year fast approaching on June 30.
Making some player sales would be a great help in that endeavour, with Mika Faye possibly on his way to Porto as part of a deal worth ($16 million) €15 million according to Jijantes while the same source reported that Chelsea is ready to activate Marc Guiu’s $6.4 million (€6 million) release clause.
President Joan Laporta is also doing work away from the transfer market, and is about to close an agreement with an American company for a stake in Barca Vision worth over $40 million.
This would mean that the company in question takes over the German Libero Football Finance group’s interests, as part of an important cash injection which could help Barca stay on the right side of Financial Fair Play limits and return to the 1:1 rule.
RAC1 explains that Barca could announce its new agreement with the so far unnamed company as early as Thursday June 27, following a meeting held among the board of directors on said date.
Furthermore, the Catalan radio station has also revealed news of Barca working separately to finalize another agreement with a different partner that will bring in fresh income of $64 million (€60 million).
The two deals then, if pulled off, are worth a combined $106 million (€100 million). If the sales of Faye and Guiu are completed simultaneously, this could possibly bring a grand total past $128 million (€120 million) which will boost the coffers handsomely at a much-needed time.
Across the course of the summer transfer window, Barca might also offload more players including Frenkie de Jong and Raphinha, who could be worth around $80 million (€75 million) each and have suitors in the moneyed Premier League in addition to Saudi Arabia as per the Brazilian’s case.
