FC Barcelona’s first signing for the 25/26 season could be a former culé
One of FC Barcelona‘s priorities for next season, in addition to signing a winger, would be to strengthen both sides. On the left wing, players such as Alphonso Davies or Sergio Reguilón appear as possible alternatives, while on the right the name of Óscar Mingueza is said to be gaining strength in Barcelona.
Although he did not have a standout performance in the duel between Celta and the Catalans last Saturday, the player’s great start to the season has not gone unnoticed at Can Barça, where they are closely following his situation. His 2 goals and 5 assists, added to his impressive level of play, have established him as one of the revelations of LaLiga, and have even earned him a call-up to the Spanish national team by Luis de la Fuente.
Barça could ‘recoup’ him for a ‘bargain’ price
According to ‘SPORT’, the Blaugranas kept a right of first refusal option on Mingueza and retain 50% of his federation rights. At Balaídos they stipulated a termination clause of 20 million euros in his contract, so the Catalans could ‘recoup’ him in exchange for 10 million euros, making him a great market opportunity to act as a replacement for Koundé on the right side of the defence.
Currently, Héctor Fort is the only natural alternative to the Frenchman at right back, and although little by little he is gaining the confidence of Hansi Flick, the reality is that until now he has not been able to play too many minutes due to the great present of the Frenchman.
If his progression advances positively, the plans of the Blaugrana entity in the position could change. Meanwhile, the Spotify Camp Nou offices will not take their eyes off Galicia, where a more than attractive option to shore up this area of the field is apparently being consolidated.
