Fermin Lopez one of five Barcelona players called into Spain squad for Euro 2024

Fermin Lopez has been called into Spain’s provisional squad for Euro 2024 by manager Luis de la Fuente after a superb breakthrough season at Barcelona.

It’s Lopez’s first ever senior call-up and is richly deserved after a campaign where he scored 11 goals in all competitions for Xavi’s side.

The midfielder joins Barca team-mates Pau Cubarsi, Lamine Yamal, Pedri, and Ferrran Torres on the roster for this summer’s tournament.

Here’s the complete list.

De la Fuente has named an initial 29-man squad for Euro 2024 which will be cut later to just 26 players.

Spain are due to play friendlies against Andorra and Northern Ireland in June before the start of the tournament. La Roja will then face Croatia, Italy and Albania in the group stages.
