Hansi Flick finally arrives in Barcelona to start work and meets with Joan Laporta
Hansi Flick has finally arrived in Barcelona to start work as the club’s new boss following Xavi’s departure.
Barca announced Flick was the team’s new coach back in May but the German has hardly been seen since then.
However, he is now in the city and was captured at the club on Friday morning by reporters.
Flick also met with club president Joan Laporta at the Ciutat Esportiva and is due to catch up with Deco soon, potentially to talk transfers.
Barcelona are due to begin pre-season next week when the first set of players will return for medical checks and will be put through their paces by the new boss.
Flick will have to cope without a large portion of his squad initially, due to Euro 2024 and the Copa America, which should at least give him a chance to check on the club’s youngsters.
Barcelona will fly out for their pre-season tour of the United States later this month for games against Manchester City, Real Madrid and AC Milan.
