Hansi Flick hoping Ansu Fati will be in Barcelona squad to face Girona
Barcelona manager Hansi Flick is hoping to have Ansu Fati available for the team’s next game against Girona in La Liga.
Fati is yet to play this season, after picking up a foot injury in pre-season, but is closing in on a comeback and will hopefully be part of the squad for the trip to Girona, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The forward has been back in training this week and, barring any fresh setbacks, should get the green light to return to first-team action soon.
MD say that Flick has “high hopes” for Fati this season after being impressed by the youngster before he picked up his latest injury in pre-season.
Flick has admitted that Fati looked “unbelivable” in his first training sessions as the 21-year-old looks to get his career at Barcelona back on track.
Barcelona head to Girona next aiming to maintain their perfect start to the new campaign but face a team that beat them home and away last season.
