Hansi Flick’s Barcelona break goalscoring record after hitting five in Champions League win
Hansi Flick’s Barcelona made history on Wednesday night after smashing five goals past Crvena Zvezda in the Champions League.
The result means that Barcelona have now scored 55 goals in their first 16 games of the season in all competitions. It’s the first time in their history they have managed such a feat, beating the previous record held by Ferdinand Daucik’s side that has stood for almost 75 years.

Inigo Martinez got Barcelona off to the perfect start with the opening goal, while Robert Lewandowski bagged a brace and Raphinha and Fermin Lopez were also on the scoreseet.
Flick was therefore a happy man after the game.
“Three points, that’s the most important thing. It’s not easy to win away from home in this competition. I’m very happy and I really appreciate what the team is doing. We played very well with the ball and we also pressed hard in defence,” he told reporters.
“Red Star played very well. They know how to play with the ball and it is difficult to defend against them. It is not easy to be concentrated for ninety minutes and I value that a lot.”
The Barca boss will be hoping for more goals on Sunday when Barcelona head to Anoeta to take on Real Sociedad in La Liga.
