Joao Felix returns to Atletico Madrid for pre-season after Barcelona loan expires
Joao Felix has returned to pre-season training with Atletico Madrid ahead of the start of the new 2024-25 La Liga campaign.
The forward spent last season on loan at Barcelona but it’s not clear yet where he will be playing his football next season.
Felix has said he wants to stay Barcelona but it’s starting to look increasingly unlikely that he will continue for another season.
Barcelona are keen to bring in Nico Williams and Dani Olmo, suggesting Felix isn’t really in their future plans following his season-long loan.
Felix probably isn’t in Atletico’s plans either as his relationship with the club is really not in great shape and Diego Simeone’s side are keen to sell.
Benfica have been linked with a move for the Portugal international, while Aston Villa are also thought to be keen to bring him back to the Premier League.
