Lamine Yamal set to miss Barcelona’s Champions League tie with Brest
Barcelona are set to be without Lamine Yamal again next time out when they take on Brest in the Champions League on Tuesday.
Yamal was ruled out for “two to three weeks” at the start of the international break due to an ankle sprain and is still not ready to return.
RAC1 are reporting that Yamal underwent further tests at the club on Sunday and the decision was made to rule him out of the game.
Yamal still has pain in his right ankle, meaning Hansi Flick’s side will have to cope without their talented teenager once more.
Barca have struggled without Yamal this season, losing to Osasuna and Real Sociedad as well as drawing with Celta Vigo in La Liga.
Flick will be hoping his team can get back to winning ways against Brest. The Ligue 1 side are currently 12th in the French top flight but are unbeaten in their four Champions League matches so far.
Brest have beaten Sparta Prague, RB Salzburg and Sturm Graz and held Bayer Leverkusen to a draw.
