Arne Slot has arrived and Liverpool’s summer recruitment drive can begin in earnest.

Slot officially took charge of the Reds on Wednesday, with a number of players already linked with a move to Anfield. One of those is Jamal Musiala, who is currently starring for Germany at Euro 2024.

He has scored two goals so far in the tournament, helping his side to progress into the Last 16. His performances have drawn the eye of Liverpool, especially given Musiala rejected a new contract from Bayern Munich in March.

That pursuit comes as doubts continue to rise over Luis Diaz’s future at the Reds, with Barcelona stepping up their interest. Here, Mirror Football rounds up all the latest Liverpool transfer news.

Musiala tip sent

England legend Gary Lineker has hailed Jamal Musiala, as Liverpool consider making a move for the Bayern star. Musiala is currently focusing on helping Germany win Euro 2024 and had been leading the Golden Boot race heading into Thursday’s games.

But his future at club level is up in the air after he rejected a new contract at Bayern Munich. Liverpool are one of the sides keeping tabs on his situation, with the attacker thought to be keen to move to the Premier League.

He has now received a ringing endorsement from Lineker. The Match of the Day host told the Rest Is Football podcast: “Musiala you know. I know we know he’s an incredible talent but boy oh boy he’s sharp. Magical.”
