Man City make bid for Dani Olmo but RB Leipzig star would prefer Barcelona move
Premier League champions Manchester City have reportedly made an offer for Dani Olmo but the RB Leipzig star wold prefer to move to Barcelona.
Olmo’s future is currently uncertain and it’s expected he could be on the move in the summer transfer window.
Barca have already seen an offer rejected by RB Leipzig, but the Euro 2024 star does still remain a target for the Catalan giants.
Yet City are also keen and have made an approach, according to Foot Mercato’s Santi Aouna.
However, Olmo has made it clear that his preference is a return to Catalunya and his agent is set for more talks with the club over the weekend.
Financing a deal for Olmo is likely to be the problem. It’s thought RB Leipzig want 60 million euros for the Spain star and it’s not clear if Barca can reach that amount.
The Catalan giants may well have to sell first if they are to try and sign Olmo, but there is no clear idea of which players could be offloaded to raise funds.
