Manchester City keeping tabs on €60 million-rated Barcelona winger – report
Raphinha is enjoying a dream start to the 2024/25 season at FC Barcelona under new manager Hansi Flick.
From being almost forced out of the club in the summer, the 27-year-old is now one of the five club captains and is absolutely thriving on the pitch.
Indeed, the Brazilian international has bagged six goals and eight assists from 12 games in all competitions, establishing himself as one of the Catalans’ most important players.
Manchester City eyeing Raphinha
As such, according to a report from journalist Rudy Galetti, Premier League champions Manchester City are keeping tabs on Raphinha, along with several other clubs from England and Saudi Arabia.
It is no secret that Raphinha has plenty of admirers in the Premier League while several teams from Saudi Arabia tried to sign him this past summer.
However, the Brazilian winger rejected all advances and was only focused on turning things around at Barça, which he has done in style.
The report adds that despite his rising importance in the team, Barcelona still consider the former Leeds United star as ‘sacrificable’ and would be open to studying offers for him.
However, this claim must be taken with a pinch of salt considering that Flick is a big admirer of Raphinha.
Furthermore, Barcelona president Joan Laporta himself hinted at a possible renewal being in the works for the 27-year-old either.
The player, for his part, remains committed as ever to Barça and as such, the chances of an exit appear distant, unless an enormous offer arrives for him.
