Nunez to Barcelona EXCLUSIVE, Mbappe to Real Madrid latest, Chelsea need to raise £100m to avoid FFP

Chelsea summer sale

Chelsea are preparing to sell Conor Gallagher and Reece James in a bid to comply with Financial Fair Play rules.

The Blues have spent a whopping £1billion in transfers alone ever since the Clearlake Capital-led takeover in the summer of 2022.

And the West Londoners are now finding themselves at risk of breaching the Premier League’s Profitability and Sustainability Rules just like Everton and Nottingham Forest did before.

That is why chairman Todd Boehly could look to sell academy graduates who will command a larger fee due to their status.

According to The Sunday Times, Chelsea have decided to put James and Gallagher up for sale as they look to generate well over £100million in additional revenue.

That is to avoid surpassing the Prem’s £105m limit on allowable losses over a three-year period.

Mbappe wage drop

Kylian Mbappe will allegedly take a huge pay-cut at Real Madrid after leaving Paris Saint-Germain in June.

Mbappe is believed to have signed a five-year deal that will keep him at the Santiago Bernabeu until 2029.

Now AS are claiming that star forward’s salary will be vastly reduced despite him being one of the top earners in Madrid.

The France international is coming to the end of a two-year deal at PSG that netted him a whopping £5.1million per week.

But this latest report states that the 25-year-old’s new contract will be almost two-thirds less than what he is currently on.

However, the Frenchman will still receive a handsome salary of around £21m-a-year – which equates to £404,000-a-week.

Darwin Nunez Exclusive

Liverpool star Darwin Nuniez is a shock target for Barcelona ahead of a summer of big changes at the Nou Camp.

Nunez could be replacing Robert Lewandowski, who is set to become a big-name victim of a mass clear-out.

Barca’s salary cap has been slashed to just over £174million by LaLiga, meaning Xavi’s side will have to offload their highest earners – with Lewandowski posing as the priciest – for a planned rebuild.

Nunez is among the best paid at Liverpool but he is on about a quarter of the Poland international’s money.

The Uruguay international is the Reds’ record buy, costing £85m from Benfica two years ago and with a contract running to 2028, they will be loath to let him go.

But the Merseysiders’ top brass are aware of handing incoming boss Arne Slot a decent summer kitty, something that would dramatically increase if Mohamed Salah is sold to Saudi Arabia.

If there is no offer from the Middle East, Liverpool are more likely to listen to Barcelona.
