Official: Barcelona starting lineup against Girona | La Liga GW5
The first Catalan derby of the season is here for Barcelona as they take on Girona at Estadi Montilivi in just over an hour.
Already flying high on four wins in as many games, Barcelona will look to maintain their steam and gun down a fifth straight win in La Liga. After all, they are stepping onto the field together after a hiatus of two weeks.
For the first game after the international hiatus, Hansi Flick has opted for what appears to be his strongest available lineup. After all, Girona stunned last season with a sensational run and trampled Barcelona in both meetings.
Marc-Andre Ter Stegen retains the duties between the sticks while the central defence remains unchanged with Inigo Martinez and Pau Cubarsi taking control.

Jules Kounde retains responsibilities at right-back and Alejandro Balde starts at left-back after two deserved weeks of rest.
The double pivot sees Marc Casado earn the start alongside Pedri. While the former will be tasked with the bulk of the defensive duties, the Canary Islander will look to shoulder more responsibility going forward.
The forward line remains unchanged with Lamine Yamal starting down the right and Dani Olmo and Raphinha taking the remaining flexible spot behind the striker. The duo will alternate between the left wing and the central role.
Robert Lewandowski, meanwhile, starts on his 100th appearance as a Barcelona player and will look to soar into the elite company.
On the bench, Flick has valuable resources including Eric Garcia, Pablo Torre, Ferran Torres, Pau Victor, Hector Fort and the young and talented Guille Fernandez.
