Porto closing in on deal for Barcelona’s Mikayil Faye
FC Porto appear to be closing in on a deal for Barcelona defender Mikayil Faye, with talks continuing between the two clubs.
Gerard Romero reports Faye’s agent is currently in Portugal to continue negotiations over a move worth €15 million. The sticking point at the moment seems to be a potential buy-back clause.
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano is also talking about Faye and says the clause is the main point of discussion. Porto are expected to pay €15m plus add-ons.
All of which will represent a big profit for Barcelona, as they spent just €1.5m on the defender last summer. A purchase option may also be a good move as Faye looks a real talent and has impressed with Barca Atletic.
Faye could be one of two youngsters to leave the club this summer. Marc Guiu is also expected to depart for Chelsea, with the Blues set to active his €6m release clause.
