Report – Barcelona likely to close the deal for 22-year-old forward today

It has been a while since Barcelona and Girona reached an agreement regarding the transfer of the young forward Pau Victor.

The Catalan giants will pay €2.5 million to secure his services, and as reported by Mundo Deportivo, the deal could finally be closed today.

The outlet mentions that although the final details need to be ironed out with the player, the deal is practically sealed.

Pau Victor to Barcelona, Here We Go?

The transfer saga surrounding Victor has been ongoing for a while. Last season, he played on loan for Barça Atletic and impressed everyone with his performance.

The clubs had been in discussions, and now, they have finally come to an agreement. The only step left is to finalise the terms with the player, which should happen soon.

According to sources, the deal could be completed today, making Victor an official member of the Barcelona squad.

Initially, Barcelona had an option to buy Victor for €3 million until April 1, but they did not exercise this option.

Instead, the final agreement has been reached at a slightly lower fee of €2.5 million. This has been a strategic move for Barcelona, securing a promising talent at a reduced price.

Much to play for Victor next season

It is said that Victor will be joining Barcelona’s first team and will be under the guidance of the team’s head coach, Hansi Flick.

This addition will bolster Barcelona’s attacking options, providing more depth alongside star players like Robert Lewandowski and Vitor Roque.

Barcelona has high hopes for Victor. They have admired his goal-scoring ability and maturity in the attacking third.

During his loan spell at Barça Atletic, he emerged as the top scorer in the Primera RFEF, netting 20 goals.

With Robert Lewandowski now 35 years old and needing more rest, and with uncertainties surrounding the future of Roque, Victor’s arrival is timely.

additionally, Marc Guiu’s departure has created a gap in the squad that the 22-year-old is expected to fill. This could be the perfect opportunity for the young forward to establish himself and make a significant impact.
