Report: Bayern Munich might be leaving Joshua Kimmich hanging amid interest from FC Barcelona, Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester City

According to a report from Sky Sport journalist Kerry Hau (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Joshua Kimmich might be feeling like Bayern Munich is leaving him hanging when it comes to talks about his future.

Specifically, Max Eberl has not given Kimmich any guidance on what the club is thinking regarding the player and his future. Of course, if Kimmich does want to — or need to — leave, FC Barcelona, Manchester City, Liverpool FC, and Arsenal FC are all options for the Germany international, but he has not engaged in any talks as of yet per Hau.

If you are looking for a positive in the report, it is that Hau states that the recent reports linking Kimmich to Real Madrid are “off the mark”:

So far, Bayern have not communicated a clear indication to Joshua Kimmich that they want to extend his contract. Max Eberl has not told Kimmich clearly: ‘We want to extend with you after the Euros’ – That’s why the player has somewhat been ‘left hanging’. In case of a move, Kimmich would only join an absolute ambitious top club. Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal would be options for him. But at the moment, there are no talks with any other club. Rumours about Real Madrid in the past few days are off the mark. Bayern is still Kimmich’s first point of contact.

Kimmich’s future with Bayern Munich could affect two different positions (central midfield / right-back), so a decision on his future would potentially create holes on the roster if the Bavarians do not want to re-up the German.
