Robert Lewandowski shrugs off knock with Poland before making quick return to Barcelona
Robert Lewandowski shrugged off a knock to play all 90 minutes of Poland’s 1-0 defeat to Croatia on Sunday before making a swift return to Barcelona.
The striker asked to be subbed off in Poland’s previous game against Scotland after feeling discomfort but appears to have come through the international break unscathed.
Reports in Poland state that Lewandowski was quick to hop on a plane back to Barcelona after the game as he made a hasty exit from defeat in Croatia.
The news will be a relief to Barcelona who have seen both Fermin Lopez and Dani Olmo pick up physical problems during the international break.
Lewandowski does now look to be fit and available for Barca’s next game and will hope to contine his fine form after bagging four in four for Hansi Flick’s side.
Barca return to action after the international break to a hectic schedule. The Catalans face Girona, Monaco, Villarreal, Getafe and Osasuna before the end of the month.
