Ronald Araujo returns to full training with Barcelona after injury
Ronald Araujo made a welcome return to full training with Barcelona on Sunday as he steps up his recovery from injury.
Hansi Flick revealed ahead of the game against Celta that Araujo was due back with the group this weekend as the Uruguayan closes in on a comeback.
Araujo has yet to play this season for Barcelona, after sustaining an injury at the Copa America that required surgery, but is hoping to return before the end of the year.
The current thinking seems to be that Araujo’s first game back for Barcelona could be against Leganes on December 15 at Montjuic.
Flick therefore still has a few games to negotiate without the defender, as Barca take on Las Palmas, Real Mallorca and Real Betis in La Liga as well as Champions League games against Brest and Borussia Dortmund.
Araujo’s return will still be a big boost for Barca, and it will be interesting to see how Flick lines his defence once the Uruguay international is fit and ready to go.
