Sevilla looking to sign Ansu Fati on loan – report
Sevilla FC has contacted FC Barcelona to talk about a potential loan move for Ansu Fati, according to the latest rumors.
The arrival of Francisco Javier García Pimienta, the former Barcelona B coach, has spurred Sevilla to look for Fati.
It’s expected that Hansi Flick will not count upon Fati for next season, which would make a loan exit a good idea. It’s also understood that Fati’s family would like moving back to Sevilla, where they enjoyed living in in the past.
García Pimienta is a huge fan of the forward, and knows him well already. A reunion could be a good step for Fati, who is still trying to get his career back on track after a series of injuries.
However, the biggest problem is economic. Sevilla is willing to pay only 25-30% of his salary while he’s on loan. That is not enough for the Catalans, who want to be responsible for as little as possible of his salary if he is on loan.
Fati may have to forgive part of his salary to make the loan happen, and Barcelona may indeed have to pay some portion of it as well. If all three parties give a little, a deal could be struck, but at the moment that has not happened.
