Video – Pablo Torre scores as Barcelona beat UE Olot 1-0 in friendly

The Hansi Flick era is well and truly underway at FC Barcelona as the German tactician took charge of his first match as manager today in a friendly against UE Olot.

And, the Catalan heavyweights emerged victorious 1-0 on the day, thanks to a goal from midfielder Pablo Torre.

The game was played earlier this evening at the club’s Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper facilities with Flick naming a largely inexperienced starting XI for the game.

Inaki Pena started in goal with Julian Araujo, Sergi Dominguez, Inigo Martinez, and Alejandro Balde forming the defence.

Oriol Romeu and Alexis Olmedo formed the midfield double pivot with Toni Fernandez, Guille Fernandez, and Noah Darvich lining up just behind the No. 9, Vitor Roque.

Changes were made at half-time, one of which saw Torre come on and score the only goal of the game.

The 21-year-old, recovering from a hand fracture, found the back of the net a couple of minutes into the second period.

It was a well-taken goal from the Spaniard, who is back after a loan spell at Girona and hoping to make an impression on the new coaching staff.
