Watch – Andres Iniesta interacts with injured Barcelona duo on training ground visit

Having called time on his legendary career earlier this week, former Barcelona captain and club legend Andres Iniesta is all set to embark on a new journey as he plans to enter the coaching role.

The 40-year-old icon had a touching farewell event on Tuesday during which he gave an emotional speech reminiscing his career while key figures from his career paid tributes.

Barcelona president Joan Laporta and several players not away on international duty were present at the event on Tuesday.

And, earlier today, Iniesta opted to pay a visit to the Barcelona training facilities and interact with the players during sessions in what was a nice gesture from the club legend.

The Blaugrana shared a short clip from the club legend’s visit to Ciutat Esportiva where he was seen interacting with two players who are currently out injured – Dani Olmo and Fermin Lopez.

The interaction will have held special significance as both Olmo and Lopez play in similar midfield positions to the Spanish great.

For the two La Masia products, even a brief conversation with the legendary midfielder would have been an invaluable experience.

Iniesta also spoke with manager Hansi Flick as well as Frenkie de Jong and some others during his visit to the training facilities.

Both Fermin and Olmo are expected to make their comeback from injury right after the international break when Barcelona take on Sevilla on October 20. Gavi, too, is tipped to return to action in the same game.
