‘We are ready for anything’ – Fermin Lopez sends message to Real Madrid after Bayern win
Fermin Lopez says Barcelona are “ready for anything” after beating Bayern 4-1 in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
The Spain star was back in the starting XI for the game and grabbed two assists on a great night for Hansi Flick’s side.
Fermin spoke afterwards about the importance of the victory and also made it clear there was no foul in the build-up to Barcelona’s second goal.
“It was an important victory, we hadn’t beaten them since 2015. The club and the fans deserve it. The whole team played a great game, Bayern is a very high-level team,” he told the media.
“I think (Kim) is too big to take it. I looked for the position and I was able to give Robert the finishing touch.”
Lopez then looked ahead to Sunday’s match against Real Madrid and is hoping his team can continue their fine form.
“We are ready for anything. We are Barça, there is still a long way to go but we are on the right path. I am sure that the classic will be a great match, we will try to win.”
Sunday’s promises promises to be an epic encounter. Barca head into the game after a great win, while Real Madrid came back from 2-0 down on Tuesday to beat Dortmund 5-2.
